It's like a little house or way station-an atmospheric place to find shelter from the storm and then continue on your journey.<3

This is one of the best looking covered bridges i have seen in some time. We have quite a few here in the state but most are surrounded by heavy tree and foliage cover making it difficult to get a good shot especially in the spring and summer.
This is quite a fine shot of a beauty.

Those covered bridges are very attractive. Reminds me of the film The Bridges of Madison County.

dad-aren't these bridges funny? You wouldn't dream of seeing those here and yet, you see many in movies. This one is good. Did you drive across it?

yes erin.
i drove both ways. i also parked and walked through it both ways. funny. the bridge is made of wood planks. not some kind of steel stuff or concrete. very interesting. i'll show you enough photos to make ya sick when i get home. no i did not hang out with the guys fishing under the bridge. i wanted to.

Absolutely LOVE this bridge!!! I collect covered bridges, and I've even been on the majority of the ones that I have photos or postcards. This is one I've never seen...yet! Where is it located? Did it have a number on it? Love the angle of this photo. You always notice lots of things around images that most of us would normally miss. This is quite a large one compared to many others that I've been on. Thanks for taking me on a trip down memory lane!
