remember that hymn,

"His Sheep am I"

In God's green pastures feeding, by His cool waters lie,
Soft in the evening walk my Lord and I;
All the sheep of His pasture fare so wondrously fine,
His sheep am I.
Waters cool, [in the valley] pastures green, [on the mountain]
In the evening walk my Lord and I;
Dark the night, [in the valley,] rough the way, [on the mountain,]
Step by step, [step by step,] my Lord and I.

Well,this image just bubbled forth that song right out of my spirt. That's the beauty of God's creation... it brings forth song in me. Every picture has a story. Thanks Steve :)

Take a little off the sides and ...... aw heck, take a little off everywhere.

i know the song. well.
my father was a bible conference speaker, pastor for two decades, a teacher at moody bible institute, director of a mission to israel, and director of usa church planting mission.
i think about many things when i photograph. i could have said a hundred things with this photo. instead i DO prefer to be quiet other than a quick name. that's how i learn what others are thinking. i don't fill their heads with my ideas so as to cloud what they see from their histories.
i can hear that song being sung. the guy parts and the gal parts. i would have never thought of that. but when you said this it reminded me of seeing my dad speaking at winona lake bible conference in indiana. i was 12. it was fun to be 12 for a few seconds.

"12 ..for a few seconds".....:) glad I could take you back to your childhood. It appears we do have similar backgrounds. I am a PK. Dad went to Bible school when I was 8 days old. He was my pastor until I married and moved away - He even officiated the marriage. :) And now, he's 83 and I'm his 24/7 caregiver/pastor. Thanks for sharing, Steve. I liked knowing all of that. :) It just proves to me what I said in an earlier post, "YOU ARE A CAMERA IN THE HANDS OF GOD". I knew this without knowing you! I find that interesting.

Sheered sheep... comedy. They look so funny, like a wet cat.

Thanks for the smile. Love your photos, all of them.
