Our Tara Of Woodstock

Our middle daughter, Tara comes home next week for her summer leave from her military service. Here is a photo of her from when we traveled to Fort Sill, Oklahoma in the summer of 2010 to see her graduate from basic training in the Army. On this weekend, there was a time for hugs and dinner together on the family day prior to graduation. She went on from this day to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas to train for her MOS which is as a 68 Whiskey, Combat Field Medic.

I thought of this video when I read this post about seeing Tara again. The video is making the rounds on Facebook. It's a tear jerker.

I have loved all the pictures of your beautiful daughter. I meant to comment on your last post about her and about your son who is in college (if I remember correctly). I know you are proud of both of them. Please thank your daughter from us for serving our wonderful country. I pray safety and success for the future God has planned for her.

You must be very proud. I wish you daughter a safe and successful career. I have great respect for the armed services in what is a dangerous world. We have family that has served in both Iraq and Afghanistan with the army. Lets hope peace can be found swiftly and our boys and girls can come home.
