we live about 4 hours north of champaign in woodstock, illinois. we can be into wisconsin in about 15 minutes.

I love your photos and their captions. I keep saying, "Ooooh, this is the best one! Nooo, THIS is the best one!" You have an amazing eye for composition. Hope you share your photos forever!

I don't know why it didn't click with me sooner, but I just realized that I have or have had relatives in Woodstock. My grandparents are buried in the Catholic graveyard in McHenry! My dad grew up in Ingleside. Know anyone named Blasius or Lisk?? I have tons of relatives (mostly cousins) scattered all over Lake County and that general vicinity! You know what they say about 6 Degrees of Separation!

In this case it could be a lot less than 6 degrees!

hey mellodee!
no can't say i know anyone with those names. these towns have grown pretty quick over the last two decades. for a while this was the second fastest growing county in america.
